Old stone post house in the heart of the village of Saint Michel l’Observatoire
One of the oldest buildings in the village and yet it breathes modernism, with its cozy style. We discover this house and we are immediately transported on vacation. Pushing the door that opens into the great east wall, we find ourselves in a shady garden where flowers play with stone to create a small garden of Eden. On the large covered terrace overlooking the garden, stands a festive table to meet the time of meals. It is also conducive to games and long summer evenings a drink in hand, to watch the stars. Saint Michel is famous for the beauty of its sky, and all summer astronomical meetings are organized by the Observatory of Haute-Provence.
The owner who welcomes you tells us: When I discovered this house 2 years ago, I immediately fell under its spell. Relay post horse until 1924, it has a history, the people of the village happy to see her relive, came tell me some snatches during the work. It took a lot to revive it, put it to my taste, and today’s standards. I am proud to open the doors to you and make you discover my little paradise. The house sleeps 8 people and with its 4 bedrooms located on the first floor, everyone will find his place. Its modern kitchen and very well equipped, it is easy to prepare food for the whole family, but if you prefer to dine at the restaurant to discover the Provencal cuisine, they are 2 minutes walk.
