A swimming pool out of sight, except from the sun

The few houses of this village two kilometers from the village of Banon in the Alps of Haute-Provence, are nestled between the lavender fields and forest. The mas that welcomes you was completely restored in 2016, to offer all the comforts that you would expect for a good holiday in the Sun of Provence. The two large wooden doors provide access to the typical courtyard of the former farms of the region. At the center of the paved inner courtyard was built a large pool of 7. 5 m x 3 m without towards, as well as a covered part can serve as shelter for bicycles and motorcycles. The House of 100 m2 is located on the first floor of the House. After crossing a terrace overlooking the pool, go into the kitchen. The very bright living room with windows that open on three sides, offers a living space friendly and comfortable 33 m2 . The two rooms of the House are oriented forest side.

To do only a few meters to go for a walk on foot or by bike in the surrounding countryside. The forests are rich in mushroom, chestnuts and other edible treasures you will find depending on your walks.

But the Haute-Provence it isn’t that nature, many villages perched dominate the heights as the sentinels who watch over the region. Small cobbled streets who walk between the houses to you lead to points high, castles or churches. The squares of the villages welcome all year local farmers markets, that you discover the flavours of the South and fruit picked at maturity.

Le Colorado Provençal

 

Formed by erosion and by the hand of man this ancient ocher career has seen its landscapes transformed over the centuries.

The site is today marked by a succession of sculptures and ocher cliffs in extraordinary colors ranging from pale yellow to bright red. Partly covered by the forest these mineral sculptures stand up to the azure blue sky of Provence offering an extraordinary landscape.

The gorges of the verdon

By canoe, electric boat or cruise, the gorges of Verdon can be visited for a day.

There is the upper Verdon with the lake of saint cross with turquoise waters and sublime gorges framed by vertiginous cliffs. And the wildest gorges that leave the lake of Esparon. An equipped path also runs through all the gorges passing at the closest water, borrowing bridges and some tunnels
